2020 was a doozy. We had no idea that this would be the last SOUND! this year.

After the success of using Touchdesigner in November of 2019, we doubled our efforts and I rebuilt the show from the ground up.

In this one, I utilized GLSL as well as pre-rendered videos to create a seamless real-time audio interactive event.

Instead of having a 300 sq ft. screen to project onto we had a larger array of led panels to work with.

Original works were performed by D.J. Sparr as well as Jennifer Jolley with excellent performances by Scabaret and Lauren Mcallister.

One piece that I’m particularly proud of was the Conlon Nancarrow: Study for Player Piano No.12. I used Touchdesigner to remotely control Ableton live on another computer that was sending a signal to the player piano. Both the sound and visuals were being created by Touchdesigner.

We created 14 original scenes with each one being carefully curated and directed by Scott Faris. It was a cold and beautiful day that ended with a standing ovation.
